ARCO recently celebrated the groundbreaking of a new 83,000 SF cold storage facility in Winchester, Virginia for WCS Logistics, a Winchester Cold Storage Company. The facility will be strategically located near the I-81 corridor and the Virginia Inland Port and will offer customers flexible temperature-controlled solutions. This will be the third-party logistics and warehousing service provider’s fifth facility, adding to its portfolio of more than 900,000 square feet of space servicing the East Coast. The project is expected to bring 15-20 new jobs to the region.

The state-of-the-art facility will include 68,750 square feet of freezer space with 43’ clear height, allowing for over 13,000 pallet positions. Additional facility features include an 8,750 square foot cold dock, 12 dock positions, insulated metal panel (IMP) construction, and a CO₂ cascade refrigeration system.
