Designed and built for a confidential client, this project is a 311,250-total-square-foot plastic injection molding facility.

This expansive 311,250 SF plastic injection molding facility is a testament to innovative and efficient design. It includes a 114,700 SF, Phase 2 addition and a 21,050 SF renovation, seamlessly integrated into the existing structure. The facility is tailored to accommodate a wide range of specialized functions, including plastic injection molding, medical parts assembly, ZPS and CNC rooms, EDM and grinding areas, welding stations, a resin storage area, a warehouse, tool rooms, a mechanical mezzanine, and offices.

Key cleanroom spaces include an 18,200 SF ISO 8 cleanroom dedicated to molding and a 13,500 SF ISO 7 cleanroom for medical parts assembly, complete with gowning areas, medical packaging in/out zones, and an anti-room. These spaces ensure compliance with strict cleanliness and quality standards for medical manufacturing.

The facility boasts robust infrastructure with two 7-ton and two 10-ton bridge cranes, along with specialized cranes such as a 5-ton “clean” bridge crane, a 5-ton bridge crane, and a 7½-ton bridge crane. A sophisticated HVAC and process water system features two 500-ton air-cooled chillers, while three 200-HP air compressors with compressed air loops provide operational efficiency. Additional systems include a process cold water supply and return, vacuum loops, and an ESFR fire sprinkler system, ensuring safety and functionality.

Electrical needs are met with 480v and 208v electrical bus duct systems, supporting high-powered equipment. Construction was executed while the existing facility remained fully operational, demonstrating a high level of coordination and planning. This facility exemplifies the fusion of advanced engineering, operational efficiency, and adherence to industry standards, solidifying its place as a leader in plastic injection molding and medical manufacturing.
