CANNABIS EDIBLES PRODUCTION FACILITY IN TAMPA, FL
Designed and Built for a confidential client, this project is a 54,400 total square foot cannabis edibles production facility.
This 54,400 SF cannabis edibles production facility accommodates a commercial kitchen, raw materials storage, dry goods storage, cold storage, secure product storage, packaging, distribution, offices, and maintenance areas. The project included replacing the existing gypsum roof deck with a metal deck, R-30 insulation, and a 60-mil TPO roof to improve energy efficiency and durability.
Food-grade areas like the kitchen feature washable ceiling tiles, vinyl plastic wall panels, epoxy floors, and trench drains to meet stringent sanitation requirements. Utility service upgrades were completed for domestic water and electrical systems, along with connections for cold water, hot water, natural gas, compressed air, power, and data.
The facility includes a 70 GPM carbon water filter system, a 76 GPM water softener, and a 1,500-gallon grease interceptor. Two 50-HP air compressors were installed along with a compressed air loop to support the production processes. A 200 kW natural gas generator and a roll-up generator docking station provide backup power solutions. Despite ongoing construction, the existing facility remained fully operational, ensuring uninterrupted production throughout the project.
