ARCO National Construction | Kansas City recently sponsored and participated in the Platte County Economic Development Council’s Q2 Member Luncheon, “Destination Riverside,” held at Argosy Casino & Hotel in Riverside, Missouri. The event brought together local business and community leaders for a panel discussion focused on the exciting developments shaping Riverside’s future.
Sam Stahnke, Vice President of ARCO National Construction’s Kansas City Division and a member of the Platte County Economic Development Council Board of Directors, served as moderator for the conversation, which featured City of Riverside Mayor Kathy Rose, KC Current Vice President of Communications Dani Welniak, and Live Nation General Manager Tim Burris.
Highlighting Momentum in Riverside and Platte County
Throughout the discussion, Mayor Kathy Rose shared insights on the significant growth Platte County has experienced over the last decade, as well as the long-term vision for Riverside. Once known primarily for its strong industrial landscape, Riverside continues to evolve into a more diversified community with new entertainment, hospitality, recreation, and residential developments taking shape.
Mayor Rose highlighted several transformational projects contributing to the city’s momentum, including the upcoming Live Nation amphitheater, the KC Current’s state-of-the-art training facility, a new Hilton hotel, and future community developments that will further support Riverside’s growth.
New Developments Creating Lasting Impact
Tim Burris, General Manager of Live Nation, spoke to the strong relationships formed throughout the Riverside community as the new amphitheater prepares to open. As one of the region’s most anticipated entertainment destinations, the venue is expected to create meaningful economic impact while bringing memorable experiences to residents and visitors alike.

Welniak also noted the excitement surrounding the facility’s role in hosting the Netherlands National Team this month ahead of the FIFA World Cup.
