ARCO National Construction's Cincinnati division recently partnered with Rumpke Waste & Recycling to deliver a new transfer depot, maintenance facility, and office in Union Township, Clermont County, Ohio. The 42,612-square-foot facility includes a 26,700-square-foot transfer depot, a 10,920-square-foot maintenance building, and a 4,992-square-foot two-story office.

The transfer station features precast exterior walls, 16-foot cast-in-place concrete push walls, a 7,000 PSI ballistic slab at the tipping floor, and 28-foot clear height.
The maintenance facility includes a 5-ton full-bay bridge crane, heated floors, and a steel-framed wash bay. The site also includes approximately 405,000 square feet of concrete pavement.
Additional features include:
• 12 drive-in doors and 2 drive-in ramps
• 46 container vehicle parking spaces and 92 car parking spaces
• Inbound and outbound truck scales with a scale house
• 10,000-gallon fueling station and 10,000-gallon leachate storage tank
• 1,000-amp electrical service and 60-mil TPO roof system
• Dry fire protection system at the tipping floor

ARCO and Rumpke recently celebrated the completion of the project with a ribbon cutting ceremony, marking the successful delivery of the new facility and the continued strength of the partnership between the teams.

This project marks the first of several ongoing developments for Rumpke and ARCO, including:
• A 66,200 SF office and maintenance facility at Rumpke’s headquarters in Colerain Township, Ohio (under construction)
• A 76,400 SF maintenance facility renovation and material recovery expansion in Cincinnati, Ohio (under construction)
• A 5,200 SF heavy equipment maintenance building and site improvements in Effingham, Illinois (under construction)
