ARCO National Construction has completed renovations to two side-by-side airplane hangars for International Aerospace Coatings in Fort Worth, Texas. The 46,000 SF project updated two 23,000 SF hangars to support the facility’s operational and ventilation requirements.
The renovation included HVAC improvements with new exhaust fans and make-up air units designed to provide five air changes per hour. ARCO also removed the existing infrared heaters and lighting and installed new explosion-proof LED lighting, delivering 93 foot-candles of illumination throughout the hangars.
To accommodate the new mechanical systems, the project team installed a galvanized rooftop steel platform for HVAC equipment and interior steel supports for ductwork. These improvements provide the infrastructure needed to support reliable airflow, lighting performance, and day-to-day aerospace coating operations.
The completed hangar renovations provide International Aerospace Coatings with updated systems tailored to the demands of its Fort Worth facility.
