ARCO PARTNERS WITH VETERANS COMMUNITY PROJECT IN ST. LOUIS

ARCO recently partnered with The Veterans Community Project (VCP) in St. Louis, a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending Veteran homelessness by providing transitional-housing, wrap-around support services, and emergency assistance. Located on a nearly 4-acre property in the heart of the Jeff Vander Lou neighborhood, the Veterans Community Project campus includes a village of tiny houses for Veterans experiencing homelessness, as well as an Outreach Center to provide walk-in support services for any Veteran in the St. Louis metro area. Over the course of two days, ARCO associates put their construction skills into action, helping build and prepare the homes and beautify the site. With a dedication to ongoing support for our local Veterans, both inside and outside of our organization, we look forward to continuing to partner with the Veterans Community Project for years to come.

ARCO VETERANS NETWORK

At ARCO, we deeply value the service and sacrifices made by our Veterans, and we understand that transitioning from military to civilian life can be a challenging process. The ARCO Veterans Network serves as a platform to assist, engage, and inform Veterans, connecting them with individuals who are available for support and understanding.

The primary objective of the ARCO Veterans Network is to create an inclusive and supportive environment where Veterans can freely express their challenges, aspirations, and desires. Through the following objectives of the ARCO Veterans Network, we aim to cultivate an atmosphere of camaraderie, understanding, and mentorship that enables all Veterans to thrive within our organization.

Communication with Leadership

By actively listening to the unique perspectives of Veterans, we gain valuable insights that help us continuously improve our workplace culture and practices. ARCO is committed to creating an environment where Veterans feel valued, respected, and empowered to leverage their skills and experiences for personal and professional growth. The ARCO Veterans Network helps initiate and facilitate these discussions with ARCO associates and senior leadership.

Associate Resources & Support

The ARCO Veterans Network serves as a vital resource, providing guidance, resources, and connections that support Veterans’ successful transition and integration into the commercial sector. The group provides opportunities for building community, both inside and outside of ARCO, connecting associates with fellow Veterans throughout the enterprise as well as with resources outside of our organization.

Community Involvement

ARCO is committed to honoring the service of Veterans both inside and outside of ARCO. Each year, the ARCO Veterans Network helps organize community outreach activities, in which all ARCO associates can support our local Veterans through volunteer days with local nonprofit organizations.

“As a Veteran, it has been awesome to see the ARCO Veterans Network come together as people have organically connected across the ARCO enterprise. The ARCO team is a tight-knit group that is aligned toward a common core purpose and core values. ARCO’s team focus and dedication to our core purpose and values often provides a sense of comfort and alignment for Veterans who become part of the ARCO enterprise.

One of the main focuses of the ARCO Veterans Network is community outreach, as Veterans in communities across the country at times face increased challenges while transitioning from service to civilian life. There are many organizations that focus on helping Veterans overcome these challenges, such as the Veterans Community Project. I’m proud to be part of an organization like ARCO that places an emphasis on partnering with these great organizations that are doing so much to help our local Veterans. I look forward to seeing the impact the ARCO Veterans Network will have on our communities in the years to come.”
