GEORGIA FURNITURE MART BECOMES ARCO’S LATEST RAVING FAN
ARCO recently completed a 164,542 SF distribution facility for Georgia Furniture Mart in Tucker, Georgia! From efficiently navigating a complicated approval process during preconstruction to implementing proactive solutions when faced with atypical amounts of rainfall during construction, the ARCO team worked hard to keep the project on track from concept to completion.

Georgia Furniture Mart recently worked with ARCO to complete our new 164,542 SF
distribution facility in Tucker, Georgia. This project was our first time working with ARCO, and
they did not disappoint. Their knowledge and willingness to go above and beyond was
invaluable from start to finish.
Before construction began, ARCO worked with the City of Tucker and DeKalb County
regarding rezoning, planning approval, sewer capacity shortages, and neighboring pond
encroachment. ARCO's experience allowed them to navigate this process assiduously and ensure
the project received approval from the city and county. ARCO worked diligently during the early
stages of the project to guarantee the slab was ready for our groundbreaking ceremony and
company rebranding celebration.
Further into the construction process, when we began to experience atypical amounts of rainfall,
ARCO presented the solution of using soil cement at the truck dock to ensure paving and racking
delivery schedule milestones were met, and the project remained on track. With the challenges of
COVID-19, ARCO worked hard to implement safety measures so that construction could
continue without putting employees' health at risk.
Additionally, ARCO obtained an early occupancy TCO, allowing us to move into our new
facility ahead of substantial completion and undertake our business operations, which bolstered
growth despite the pandemic.
