ARCO recently completed a 30,100 SF expansion and renovation of our bakery in Rocky Mount, Virginia. The ARCO team brought a tremendous amount of value to the project, working diligently to ensure that we received a functional and cost-effective facility that met our specific needs. Not only was their extensive knowledge and experience second-to-none, but their willingness to go above and beyond was extremely valuable from start to finish. Because construction was taking place within our existing facility, it was important that we be able to remain operational. ARCO worked with our team to ensure that construction activities did not interfere with our business operations, allowing us to continue production throughout the entire process. The project consisted of expanding our freezer and dry warehouse spaces, as well as our office and break room. This required removing dock positions, which had the potential to be very disruptive to our business. However, ARCO was able to work strategically so that we never lost truck access. Additionally, we renovated several areas of our production space, including a new cookie production room, WIP cooler, washroom, and mixing area. Once again, these upgrades had the potential to shut down our production, but ARCO provided value-engineering solutions which allowed us to remain operational.
