ARCO COMPLETES FOOD FACILITY EXPANSION FOR EMPIRE BAKERY COMMISSARY
ARCO recently completed a 43,000 SF foodservice distribution and processing facility expansion and renovation for Empire Bakery Commissary! Located in Rocky Mount, Virginia, the commercial dessert producer is expected to add 75 new employees to their team as a result of the expansion.
Powered by commercial freon split refrigeration systems, the food-grade facility features multiple temperature zones including a new 13,745 SF -5°F freezer, 8,700 SF conditioned warehouse and 3,225 SF cold dock. Additional temperature-controlled spaces include a 7,500 SF existing processing area renovation and a 4,450 SF 40°F cooler retrofit.
