ARCO’s Kansas City division recently completed a 1,071,077 SF cross-dock distribution facility for repeat clients Block Real Estate Services and TPA Group! The 57-acre development is located within the 175th Commerce Centre industrial park in Olathe, Kansas, providing tenants with immediate access to I-35.
The project required extensive site development within the 220-acre industrial park, such as storm water detention basins, 65,000 tons of blasted rock, 500,000 CY of dirt moved, and 3,000 LF of roadway improvements to upgrade the exterior Hedge Lane roadway from a 20’ gravel road to a 40’ paved road with sidewalks, street lights, and park utilities. Additionally, ARCO completed construction of the exterior tilt panels throughout the heart of winter.
Facility features include tilt-up construction, 40’ clear height, 208 dock positions, four drive-in ramps, up to 714 car and 295 trailer parking spaces, 75’ speed bays, high-bay LED lighting, an ESFR fire protection system, and more.
