ARCO Pittsburgh recently joined leaders across the Pittsburgh commercial real estate community at NAIOP Pittsburgh’s 33rd Annual Awards Banquet, where Brockway Commerce Center was recognized as Best Speculative Industrial Building.
Developed by Crossgates Management, Inc. and Elmhurst Group, Brockway Commerce Center is a 100,000-square-foot speculative distribution facility located in Washington, Pennsylvania. ARCO served as the design-build partner for the project, transforming the former Brockway Glass Plant site into modern, market-ready industrial space designed to support the evolving needs of logistics, electrical, and light industrial users.
Recognizing Excellence in Pittsburgh Commercial Real Estate
Hosted by NAIOP Pittsburgh, the annual awards banquet celebrates standout projects and industry leaders contributing to the strength and continued growth of the region’s commercial real estate market. The 2026 award winners included projects across several categories, with Brockway Commerce Center earning recognition for Best Speculative Industrial Building.
The honor follows the project’s recent CoStar Impact Award for Pittsburgh Commercial Development of the Year, further reenforcing Brockway Commerce Center’s role in bringing high-quality industrial space to an underserved market while reactivating a long-dormant brownfield site.
Delivering Modern Industrial Space in Washington County
Located at the strategic junction of Interstates 70 and 79, Brockway Commerce Center introduced flexible, Class A distribution space to Washington County. The facility features 32-foot clear heights, nine dock positions, two drive-in ramps, tilt-up concrete construction, and a conventional steel structure, providing the functionality and flexibility needed to accommodate a range of tenant operations.
The project also reflects the value of strategic public-private collaboration. By redeveloping a nearly 20-acre, rail-served industrial site, the development transformed underutilized property into a productive economic asset and established a foundation for future growth in the region.
Continuing a Strong Partnership
ARCO is proud to partner with Crossgates and Elmhurst on a project that supports continued investment in the Pittsburgh industrial market. Following the success of Phase I, ARCO was awarded Phase II of the development, which will add 65,000 square feet of distribution space and bring the total project to 165,000 square feet upon completion.
