ARCO, a national leader in design-build construction, recently completed construction of a 41,800-square-foot cold storage facility expansion for Domino’s Pizza in Groveland, Florida. The expanded facility supports Domino’s growing supply chain needs throughout the region and enhances operational efficiency for one of the world’s largest pizza brands. A grand opening celebration for the expansion was held on March 4, 2026.
The newly completed cold storage expansion includes 13,000 square feet of dry warehouse space, an 11,000-square-foot freezer, an 8,000-square-foot cold dock, a 7,000-square-foot cooler, a 1,500-square-foot dry dock, and a 130-square-foot lobby. The facility also features insulated metal panel (IMP) construction, a 32-foot clear height, 14 dock positions, and two 2,000-amp electrical services with full emergency generator backup. As part of the expansion, the existing Freon refrigeration system was converted to a high-efficiency ammonia refrigeration system, further enhancing performance and sustainability.

The Groveland expansion marks the latest collaboration in ARCO’s partnership with Domino’s, following previous successful developments in Katy, Texas, and Crown Point, Indiana. Together, the companies have partnered on six total projects, including a 40,000-square-foot pizza dough production facility renovation at the same Groveland campus. The Phase 2 renovation is currently under construction and includes new dough production spaces, specialty coolers, office areas, and the addition of a second dough production line. The renovation is being completed through phased construction to allow ongoing operations within the existing facility.
