Performance Food Group

Designed and built for Performance Food Group, this project is a 60,000 SF cold storage facility expansion to an existing operation.

This project consists of an approximately 60,000 SF cold storage facility expansion designed to integrate additional temperature-controlled and dry storage capacity into an existing operation. The expansion includes a 30,000 SF dry warehouse, a 10,000 SF -10° freezer, and a 10,000 SF 34° cooler, supporting a range of storage and distribution requirements. A breakroom area of approximately 4,000 SF was incorporated to support on-site personnel as part of the operational layout.

The facility is constructed using IMP (Insulated Metal Panel) construction, providing a high-performance thermal envelope and efficient installation. The building is designed with a 27-foot clear height to support palletized storage and material handling operations. Logistics access is supported by one drive-in ramp, allowing direct vehicle access to interior storage areas.

Operational support spaces include a battery charging station and maintenance shop, integrated to serve material handling equipment and ongoing facility maintenance. Refrigeration is provided by commercial Freon systems, engineered to maintain required temperature zones with reliable performance. The roof assembly consists of a 115-mil white TPO roofing system, selected for durability, reflectivity, and long-term weather resistance. The expansion was engineered to increase cold storage capacity while maintaining operational efficiency, durability, and thermal performance.
