ARCO recently completed a 200,000 SF distribution facility for repeat developer client Block Real Estate Services (BRES) and end-user MS International, Inc. (MSI), a leading supplier of flooring, countertops, tile, and hardscaping products in North America. The development is located within the Lenexa Logistics Centre – a growing Class A industrial park in the Kansas City region – and services MSI’s customers throughout the nation.
The large-scale warehouse is utilized to store products such as luxury vinyl tile, porcelain and ceramic tile, quartz countertops, prefabricated countertops, decorative mosaics, sinks, and natural stone countertops and tile, including granite, marble, travertine, slate, limestone, quartzite, and sandstone. In addition to increased capacity, the new facility allows for increased operational efficiency for MSI with features such as interior bridge cranes to move materials throughout the warehouse.
The state-of-the-art facility features a tilt-up concrete exterior with a steel structure to accommodate numerous bridge cranes for nearly 190,000 square feet of warehouse storage, as well as a product showroom, full slab gallery, and office space. Additional features include 32’ clear height, 13 dock positions, 6 drive-in truck wells, and 2 drive-in ramps.
