Designed and built for InSite Real Estate, the Penske Logistics warehouse is a 606,000-total-square-foot freezer/cooler distribution facility.

This 606,000 SF cold storage facility is engineered to handle large volumes of temperature-sensitive products, ensuring efficient cold chain management. The facility is divided into multiple temperature zones, including an 18,000 SF 0°F ice space, a 35,000 SF -15°F freezer, a 115,000 SF 0°F freezer, and a 265,000 SF 34°F freezer providing extensive capacity for frozen goods. Additionally, a 60,000 SF 55°F cooler is specifically designed for fresh produce.

The facility is built with a 34-foot clear height, allowing for maximum vertical storage, optimizing the space for high-density racking systems. A specialized feature includes 14 banana rooms, tailored to maintain the ideal conditions for ripening and preserving bananas, ensuring the highest quality for distribution.

To facilitate the rapid movement of goods, the facility includes 105 dock positions equipped with hydraulic dock levelers, making loading and unloading fast and efficient. The variety of temperature zones and advanced design features make this facility capable of handling a wide range of perishable products, from frozen foods to fresh produce. Designed for large-scale distribution, this cold storage facility plays a critical role in maintaining product integrity across multiple food categories.
