Designed and built for BlueScope Properties Group, the Goya Foods warehouse is a 330,000-total-square-foot freezer/cooler distribution facility.
This 330,000 SF foodservice distribution facility is designed for high efficiency and durability, utilizing box-in-box construction with insulated metal panel (IMP) walls and ceilings, and offering a 33-foot clear height. The facility includes a 20,000 SF -10°F freezer, 10,000 SF 55°F and 36°F coolers, and a 5,000 SF cold dock, ensuring optimal temperature control for various storage needs.
The 12,000 SF office space, complete with a mezzanine and separate storefront entrance, adds to the functionality of the facility, while a 1,400 SF standalone parts storage building supports operational logistics. The building features 27 standard dock positions, three cold docks, three rail doors, and a drive-in ramp, all serviced by a dedicated railroad spur.
Constructed with structural steel and tilt-up walls, the facility is built to last. The roof consists of an 80-mil MA TPO membrane with R-19 insulation, and the 3,000-amp, 480V, three-phase electrical system powers the facility. An advanced ammonia refrigeration system with glycol underfloor heating ensures precise and reliable temperature management throughout.
