COLD STORAGE FACILITY EXPANSION IN GROVELAND, FL
Designed and built for Domino's Pizza, this project is an approximately 40,000-square-feet cold storage facility expansion.
This project consists of an approximately 40,000 SF cold storage facility expansion designed to increase refrigerated, frozen, and dry storage capacity. The expansion includes a 10,000 SF dry warehouse, 10,000 SF -10°F freezer, 10,000 SF 35°F cold dock, 10,000 SF 35°F cooler, 2,000 SF dry dock, and a 130 SF lobby, supporting efficient product flow across multiple temperature zones.
The facility is constructed using insulated metal panel (IMP) construction and is designed with a 36-foot clear height to support racking and material handling operations. Refrigeration scope includes conversion of the existing Freon refrigeration system to an ammonia refrigeration system, providing expanded refrigeration capacity for the new cold storage areas.
Shipping and receiving operations are supported by fourteen dock positions, allowing efficient inbound and outbound movement. Electrical infrastructure includes two 2,000-amp electrical services with full emergency generator backup, supporting continuous operation of refrigeration and facility systems. The roof assembly consists of a 60-mil mechanically fastened TPO roof system with R-19 insulation, providing durability and thermal performance.
