A new premier sports destination, the Boyd County Sports Complex, is coming to Ashland, Kentucky. The new facility is poised to become a premier destination for athletics, recreation, and community events, serving residents across Boyd County and the surrounding region.
Once complete, the 121,126-square-foot complex will feature a 110,625-square-foot air-supported dome facility with an attached CMU structure for the main lobby, along with 10,501 square feet of tenant improvement space dedicated to concessions, ticketing, and administrative offices.
The complex will support a wide range of programming, including youth and adult sports leagues, tournaments, and community gatherings. Key features include 35,000 square feet of indoor turf for baseball and soccer, 18 pickleball courts, 12 volleyball courts, and six basketball courts. Additional amenities such as grab-and-go concessions and administrative and conference space will ensure year-round functionality and reliability.
ARCO National Construction is providing design-build services for the project, bringing expertise in delivering large-scale recreational and community-focused facilities. The Boyd County Sports Complex is designed to serve as a long-term asset for the region, expanding access to quality athletic space, supporting local youth development, and creating opportunities to host regional tournaments that drive economic activity.
