ARCO’s Pacific Coast division recently completed a 270,000 SF manufacturing facility for repeat developer client Scannell Properties and end-user Plant Prefab in Arvin, California! The project serves as Plant Prefab’s first automated facility for its custom-prefabricated panelized and modular building components.
In response to rising demand, the new production facility greatly increases Plant Prefab’s capacity, producing an anticipated 900,000 SF of living space per year. Situated on 17 acres, the project expands the company’s service reach to include the entire Western U.S. and will employ up to 440 people.
Additionally, the project reflects Plant Prefab’s commitment to sustainability, as it was built to the company’s strict environmental standards to minimize energy and water use and to safeguard employee health. Sustainable features include energy-efficient lighting, appliances, and mechanical systems, high-performance windows, and water-efficient fixtures, as well as an extensive solar array that will offset energy consumption.
