ARCO National Construction’s Omaha division recently joined Woodbine Manufacturing Co. and project stakeholders to celebrate the groundbreaking of a new manufacturing facility in Woodbine, Iowa.
Held October 16, the event marked the start of construction on a 345,200-square-foot build-to-suit facility that will expand Woodbine Manufacturing Co.’s longtime operations and support the continued growth of its Tommy Gate product line.
Founded in Woodbine in 1965, Woodbine Manufacturing Co. manufactures Tommy Gate hydraulic liftgates for private, commercial, and industrial applications. The company’s new facility will provide additional space for production, office, and support functions while keeping its manufacturing operations rooted in the community where the company began.
The facility will include 40,250 square feet of office space and a 2,200-square-foot mezzanine, along with expanded areas designed around Tommy Gate’s manufacturing operations. The project also includes the infrastructure needed to support the company’s day-to-day work, including dock positions, drive-thru doors, production lighting, and a dedicated wash bay.
ARCO is partnering with Woodbine Manufacturing Co. to deliver a facility aligned with the company’s operations and future needs. The project brings together ARCO’s Omaha team, design partners, and project stakeholders to support an important investment in Woodbine’s next chapter.
