ARCO Breaks Ground on First U.S. Manufacturing Facility for Elopak

ARCO National Construction recently celebrated the groundbreaking of the first U.S. manufacturing facility for client Elopak. Located in Little Rock, Arkansas, the 297,440 SF production plant will include a 205,267 SF production area, 11,219 SF mezzanine, 24,534 SF office, and six dock positions.

As the leading global supplier of carton packaging and filling equipment, the facility will feature the latest state-of-the-art technology for better and more efficient production. Elopak expects the project to create more than 100 permanent jobs in the region, including positions for engineers, printers, operators, logistics specialists, and other support groups. The facility was strategically placed in Little Rock, Arkansas, for the location’s access to green energy, suppliers, and road and train transportation.

“ARCO is thrilled to have the opportunity to partner with Elopak on this project and the expansion of their business in the U.S.,” says Sam Stahnke, Vice President of ARCO’s Kansas City division. “We are proud to provide design-build services for this project and look forward to its successful completion.”

Thomas Körmendi, CEO of Elopak, notes, “This is our first converting plant in the U.S. and a landmark investment for our company. North America is a key building block for our future growth, and we are very excited to expand our presence in the region. I would like to thank all parties involved for enabling the next step in our North American growth journey.”

Elopak expects to be operational within the facility in early 2025.
