Build-to-Suit Aircraft Hangar in Salt Lake City, UT
Designed and built for ALSCO, this project is a 27,000 SF build-to-suit aircraft hangar.
This 27,000 SF build-to-suit aircraft hangar includes 5,100 SF of office and storage space, electric vehicle charging for four vehicles, and a 3,100 SF carport. The facility features a 185' clear span pre-engineered metal building with a 29'-3" clear height. Located one mile from Alsco’s corporate headquarters, the project required strict coordination with Salt Lake City Department of Airports (SLCDA) for site access and security. All personnel were required to be badged to work on-site.
Design included civil, architectural, structural, MEP, fire protection, and landscape scopes. Built to Class D seismic site requirements, the project includes aircraft-specific features such as de-ionized water distribution, in-floor potable water supply, sewer dump access, and aviation-specific power receptacles. The building also features a high-end lobby with quality finishes and provided renderings for owner review throughout the design phase.
