Regent Cold Storage

Designed and built for Regent Cold Storage, this 70,000-square-foot cold storage and distribution facility was completed for its business unit, Rose & Shore.

This project consists of an approximately 70,000 SF cold storage facility designed for high-cube, high-throughput frozen operations. The building includes a 40,000 SF -10°F freezer, a 10,000 SF dry warehouse, and a 10,000 SF office area, along with multiple temperature-controlled support spaces including a 36°F cooler, a 45°F cooler, and a 36°F cold dock. The facility also incorporates a dedicated blast freezer to support rapid product temperature reduction.

The structure is constructed using insulated metal panel (IMP) construction supported by a spread footing foundation, providing a high-performance thermal envelope and structural efficiency. The building is designed with a 48-foot clear height, allowing for high-density racking and efficient vertical storage. Dock operations are supported by nine dock positions and one drive-in ramp, enabling efficient inbound and outbound logistics.

Refrigeration is provided by a CO₂ refrigeration system, selected for performance, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. Electrical infrastructure includes a 3,000-amp electrical service, sized to support refrigeration equipment and material handling systems. The roof assembly consists of a 60-mil TPO roof system for long-term durability. The blast freezer is engineered with the capacity to reduce 34,560 pounds of product from 40°F to 10°F within 72 hours, supporting demanding production and distribution requirements.
