Designed and built for International Aerospace Coatings, this project is a 73,900 SF airplane hangar.
This 73,900 SF airplane hangar and 5,100 SF storage building is designed for efficient aircraft operations and maintenance. The hangar bay supports 3.5 air changes per hour and is equipped with a 3,000 AMP electrical service. The structure features a standing seam metal roof and is supported by shallow perimeter and spread footings.
The facility includes one airplane hangar door and three forklift drive-thru doors for flexible equipment and aircraft access. A 75 HP oil-free air compressor and 2,000-gallon air receiver tank supply air to six drop points around the hangar.
Hazardous material handling spaces include a dedicated paint mixing room, paint storage room, and wastewater treatment room. Fire protection is provided by an electric pump and wet sprinkler system.
