Designed for Grossmont Post Acute Care, this project is an 50,000 square foot skilled nursing facility.
This 50,000 SF, two-story, skilled nursing facility is constructed using metal-framed Type II-A (cold-formed steel) construction and is designed to meet OSHPD 2 requirements for skilled nursing facilities, with structural classification aligned with OSHPD 1 standards due to the building construction type. The facility includes 54 skilled nursing rooms with a total of 105 beds, comprised of 51 semi-private rooms with 102 beds and three private rooms.
The building is designed to support a full range of post-acute care services and rehabilitation functions. Resident amenities include a large therapy area designed to support physical, speech, and occupational therapy programs, along with multiple dining areas, recreational spaces, salon services, and gathering areas that promote resident comfort and social engagement.
Outdoor amenities include landscaped courtyards designed for recreation, therapy, and controlled outdoor access. The lower level of the facility includes tenant lease spaces, allowing additional healthcare or service providers to operate within the building and expand resident support services. The project was engineered to deliver a durable healthcare facility meeting California healthcare construction standards while providing a comfortable and supportive environment for rehabilitation and long-term care.
