Designed and Built for Scannell Properties, the FedEx Ground warehouse is a 367,100 total square foot automated package sorting facility.
This 367,100 SF automated package sorting facility is strategically situated on 48 acres of site development. The facility features 5,300 square feet of dedicated warehouse office space, which includes a 970 square foot technology room designed to support advanced logistics operations. Additionally, a 5,600 square foot vehicle maintenance garage is included to ensure optimal support for the FedEx fleet, enhancing operational efficiency.
A 3,800 square foot gateway building provides secure access to the site, further enhancing safety and operational flow. The warehouse itself employs tilt-up concrete construction, allowing for a robust structure with a clear height of 32 feet, maximizing storage capabilities.
The flooring consists of a 6-inch reinforced concrete slab, enhanced with macro-synthetic fibers to provide superior durability under heavy loads. The facility is equipped with 101 dock positions and 10 drive-in doors, facilitating smooth loading and unloading processes.
A hybrid roof structure contributes to the building’s energy efficiency, aligning with modern sustainability practices. This project was constructed within a reclaimed rock quarry, demonstrating innovative use of existing resources. Achieving LEED® Silver certification underscores a commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainable building practices, making this facility a prime example of efficient warehouse design and construction.
