ARCO National Construction’s Southern California division is partnering with Sun Noodle, a leading producer of restaurant-quality noodles and ramen kits, on a 23,000-square-foot cold storage renovation project. Located in Compton, the cold storage and production space will play a key role in supporting Sun Noodle’s rapid West Coast growth.
The facility will feature five production lines, including two semi-automated systems for ramen kit production. Additional highlights include a 4,700-square-foot -10°F freezer, a 1,224-square-foot 36°F cooler, and 7,711 square feet of dry warehouse space. Multiple mezzanines will be integrated to support dough mixing and improve process flow.
ARCO was connected with Sun Noodle during the lease negotiation stage of the project. By providing multiple preliminary layout options and detailed budget information, ARCO helped expand the project from the initial 4,500-square-foot freezer requirement to a full build-out of the 23,000-square-foot facility.
ARCO National Construction is also partnering with Sun Noodle on a second project – a 7,200-square-foot freezer and cold dock renovation in Carlstadt, New Jersey.
