DICK'S Sporting Goods' House of Sport

Designed and built for DICK'S Sporting Goods, this project is a 90,000-square-foot experiential retail concept on a 10-acre development.

This project consists of an approximately 90,000 SF ground-up experiential retail facility developed on a 10-acre site. The building includes an approximately 70,000 SF showroom with 470 product racks, along with specialized sports and customer experience areas integrated throughout the store.

Experiential features include a rock climbing area, batting cage, and a dedicated golf simulator zone with two simulator bays and a pro shop. The facility also includes a House of Cleats showcase and display area and a fitting room suite with ten fitting rooms, including four ADA-compliant rooms. Interior finishes include exposed ceilings, polished concrete, and vinyl flooring, providing durable surfaces suited for high-volume retail use.

Back-of-house and operational spaces include an approximately 10,000 SF stock room with three loading docks, six private offices, a break room, and a point-of-sale area with eight checkout counters. Electrical and technology systems support track lighting throughout the store, automatic sliding entrance doors, a baler, trash compactor, large-format digital media displays, and a Jumbotron.

Site development includes an approximately 200,000 SF surface parking lot with 450 parking spaces. Construction required extensive coordination of owner-provided systems and specialty vendors, including structural features, signage, graphics, loading dock equipment, lighting controls, audiovisual systems, millwork, rooftop HVAC units, security systems, and door hardware. The project was executed to integrate traditional retail operations with specialized sports, technology, and experiential features within a high-traffic commercial environment.
