Boyd County Sports Complex

Designed and built for Boyd County, this project is a 120,000-total-square-foot sports complex featuring an air-supported dome design.

This project consists of an approximately 120,000 SF indoor sports complex designed to accommodate a wide variety of athletic, recreational, and community events. The development includes an approximately 110,000 SF air-supported dome connected to a CMU lobby structure, along with an approximately 10,000 SF tenant improvement housing concessions, ticketing, administrative offices, and support spaces.

The facility features approximately 35,000 SF of indoor turf configured for baseball and soccer, as well as eighteen pickleball courts, twelve volleyball courts, and six basketball courts, allowing multiple sports and events to operate simultaneously. Additional support spaces include administrative offices, a conference room, and approximately 10,000 SF of grab-and-go concession space to serve athletes and spectators.

Critical building infrastructure includes backup generators dedicated to the dome inflation system and heating equipment, ensuring continuous operation during power interruptions. The project was engineered to deliver a flexible, year-round indoor sports venue with durable construction, reliable building systems, and the capacity to host a wide range of recreational and competitive athletic activities.
