ARCO National Construction is partnering with repeat client DrinkPAK, the largest canned beverage contract manufacturer in North America, on a 1.4-million-square-foot beverage manufacturing facility in the Bellwether District of South Philadelphia.
The high-acid facility will manufacture energy drinks, sodas, teas, juices, waters, protein beverages, seltzers, beer, wine, and spirts in all can sizes and packaging formats. The four ultra-high-speed filling lines will produce up to 3,000 cans per minute each. The facility will also include an automated variety repacking line to produce multi-flavor cartons and trays at speeds up to 2,000 cans per minute.
Additional features will include a 15,000-square-foot 40°F cooler, a 22,000-square-foot office, and 40’ clear height. The facility shell will be pursuing Leed® Silver certification.
The project is set to generate 175 full-time job opportunities in the Philadelphia region by 2028, marking a significant contribution to the local economy.
This is the second project ARCO and DrinkPAK have partnered on, previously completing 1.4-million-square-foot facility in Fort Worth, Texas.
