ART GALLERY & STORAGE FACILITY RENOVATION IN CHICAGO, IL
Designed and built for Diamond Realty Holdings, this project is a 14,000-total-square-foot interior renovation of an art gallery and storage facility.
This project consists of an approximately 14,000 SF interior renovation of an art gallery and modern art storage facility, focused on creating controlled, high-quality display and support spaces. The scope includes buildout of private offices, a break room, and a dedicated art showroom, all integrated to support gallery operations and secure art handling.
The renovation features glass pivot doors at both the gallery and storefront entry points, providing clear sightlines and controlled access. The space includes a barrel roof with exposed ceilings, maintaining volume and architectural character. Stained and polished concrete flooring was installed throughout the entire facility to provide durability and a clean, gallery-appropriate finish.
Mechanical upgrades include installation of a new rooftop HVAC unit and redistribution of three existing HVAC units to provide proper temperature control and air distribution for both gallery and storage areas. Lighting upgrades include LED sales floor fixtures with high-end finishes, designed to support artwork presentation and visual consistency. Preconstruction services included architectural and MEP design, ensuring coordinated execution and performance across all systems.
