ARCO COMPLETES FIRST SPECULATIVE COLD STORAGE FACILITY IN GREATER KANSAS CITY REGION
ARCO recently completed a 167,565 SF speculative cold storage facility for BCB Development! The Heartland Cold Storage Logistics Center is the first of its kind in the Kansas City region – one of the fastest growing food and beverage hubs in the country. The food-grade facility offers freezer and cooler space for one or multiple tenants.
CBRE lists the Kansas City region among its top industrial markets as it provides easy access to inland ports with air and rail connectivity. The region is also credited as one of the fastest growing food and beverage logistics hubs in the country as it offers product distribution reach to 85% of the U.S. population in just two days.
The project comes as part of a growing trend as the traditional speculative environment has seen a shift toward outfitting facilities for specialty end-users to decrease time on retrofit and attract tenants with immediate demand for space from booming industries such as food and beverage.
