ARCO ADDS 1.1 MILLION SQUARE FEET OF SPACE TO GROWING INDUSTRIAL PARK FOR DHL SUPPLY CHAIN

ARCO recently completed two new facilities for DHL Supply Chain! Construction of the distribution facilities occurred simultaneously, adding more than 1.1 million square feet of logistics space to the Elizabeth Creek Gateway Industrial Park in Ft. Worth, Texas. The 100-acre industrial park is already home to two projects – 705,600 SF and 493,500 SF distribution facilities – completed by ARCO in 2019.
Designed for e-commerce tenants, all four facilities feature tilt-up construction and a 36′ clear height. Additional construction features include concrete drilled pier foundations, 60 mil mechanically attached TPO roof systems, LED high bay lighting, and ESFR sprinkler systems.
The ARCO team performed exceptionally well in many areas including preconstruction, planning, estimating, design, permitting, scheduling, procurement, quality, safety, closeout, reporting, communication, and maintaining excellent relationships with all project stakeholders. Despite the unusually high amount of rainfall during the project, ARCO completed the projects ahead of schedule and within budget by implementing proactive solutions such as careful activity sequencing, increased workforce when needed, lime stabilization, flowable fill, and working every opportunity that the weather permitted. ARCO's experience, creativity, and team approach resulted in collaborative and timely decisions and actions needed to keep the project on track.
