ARCO COMPLETES PHASE FOUR OF MULTI-PHASE PROJECT FOR COLDPOINT LOGISTICS

ARCO’s Kansas City office recently completed phase four of a multi-phase cold storage project for repeat client, ColdPoint Logistics! Phase four consists of nearly 150,000 SF of temperature-controlled space, including a 55,000 SF cold dock, 35,000 SF convertible room, a 54,000 SF -10°F with slow freeze capabilities and multiple blast cells. This addition brings the total size of the facility to 625,000 SF with more than 350,000 SF of freezer space.
Phases one, two and three, all completed by ARCO, total 475,000 SF and feature 267,237 SF of -10°F freezer, three 34,000 SF cold docks and a 73,562 SF cooler with refrigeration capabilities to convert to a -10°F freezer. There are also three blast cells, freezing from 38°F to -5°F in 24 hours, each with 48 pallet capacity. Additionally, the facility features three 5,000 SF mechanical rooms and nearly 20,000 SF of office space.
Additional features include insulated tilt-up and insulated metal panel construction, ammonia refrigeration systems, and 36′ freezer clear height. In addition to it’s prime Kansas City location, the facility is also railroad spur serviced.
