ARCO NATIONAL CONSTRUCTION COMPLETES DESIGN/BUILD PROJECT FOR DHL
ARCO National Construction recently completed Elizabeth Creek Gateway Industrial Park for repeat client, DHL. The distribution campus located in Ft. Worth, TX is among more than 30 projects ARCO and DHL have partnered to complete.
The 100-acre industrial park is home to two facilities – a 705,600 SF speculative warehouse with 100 dock positions and a 493,500 SF speculative warehouse with 70 dock positions.
Despite experiencing an atypical amount of rainfall, the ARCO team was able to stay on schedule by implementing several proactive solutions including lime stabilized subgrade, flowable fill and strategic activity sequencing. Construction of both buildings was completed in just 9 months, finishing ahead of schedule.
Designed for future e-commerce tenants, both buildings feature tilt-up concrete construction and 36’ clear height. Additional construction features include concrete drilled pier foundations, 60 mil mechanically attached TPO roof systems, LED high bay lighting and ESFR sprinkler systems.
From the Client:
“The ARCO team performed exceptionally well in many areas including preconstruction planning, estimating, design, permitting, scheduling, procurement, quality, safety, closeout, reporting, communication and maintaining excellent relationships with all project stakeholders.
Despite the unusually high amount of rainfall during the project, ARCO completed the projects ahead of schedule and within budget by implementing proactive solutions such as careful activity sequencing, increased workforce when needed, lime stabilization, flowable fill and working every opportunity that the weather permitted. ARCO’s experience, creativity and team approach resulted in collaborative and timely decisions and actions needed to keep this project on track.”
